Senate Democrat Blumenthal Demands Tether Records on Payments to Bo Hines' Firm Nxum
Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the Senate’s top Democratic investigator, has opened an inquiry into payments Tether made to Nxum, a firm founded by Bo Hines, a former White House crypto adviser, according to CoinDesk.
Blumenthal is asking both Tether and Nxum to hand over payment records, crypto wallet addresses and lobbying communications, with a deadline of Nov. 3, according to The Defiant.
The request follows reports that Tether paid millions of dollars to Hines' firm, according to The Block. Blumenthal said he wants answers from Tether about the nature and purpose of those payments, according to The Block.
The inquiry adds scrutiny to Tether’s dealings with figures tied to the Trump administration’s crypto policy apparatus, with Hines having served as a White House adviser on digital assets before founding Nxum.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
