Nvidia, Costco and Nike Join Growing List of Companies Opposing OKX-ICE Tokenized Stock Plan as Backpack Warns of Fake Airdrops
Nvidia, Costco and Nike have joined the objection against a planned tokenized stock trading venue backed by OKX and ICE, according to CoinDesk. Decrypt reports that the three companies were among twelve named in the latest wave of objections, bringing the total number of companies opposing the plan to 50.
Decrypt did not detail the specific grounds for the companies' objections, only that the figure marks the largest round of pushback reported so far against the OKX-ICE proposal to offer tokenized versions of their shares.
Separately, Backpack warned that scammers are exploiting interest in tokenized stocks by distributing fake airdrops, according to The Defiant. The exchange said bad actors may reference genuine token contract addresses to make fraudulent offers appear legitimate, and it directed users to consult its official Solana mint directory to verify authentic tokenized stock listings before interacting with any airdrop.
Together, the reports point to mounting friction around tokenized equities: corporate resistance to having shares represented on-chain without consent, and security risks emerging as scammers try to capitalize on the same trend.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
