Seven more companies have objected to trading of their shares on the planned OKX-ICE tokenized stock venue, according to Decrypt. The new objectors include JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola and Dell, bringing the total number of companies pushing back to 33, Decrypt reported.

CoinDesk separately reported that Walmart and Eli Lilly have also joined the growing list of companies objecting to the OKX-ICE tokenized stock plans.

The objections come as a rival tokenized stock venue built on the Canton network could beat OKX-ICE to executing the first trade under a framework set by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, according to CoinDesk. The report did not specify which companies or exchanges are behind the Canton-based effort, but it signals competition among multiple platforms racing to launch tokenized equity trading under SEC oversight.

Neither Decrypt nor CoinDesk detailed the specific grounds for the companies' objections to OKX-ICE’s plans, nor did they specify when a resolution or launch might occur.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
