The CFTC filed a motion asking a judge to dismiss CME Group’s lawsuit over crypto perpetual futures, according to CoinDesk and The Block.

The regulator argued CME lacks standing to bring its competitive-injury claims because the exchange is free to list its own perpetual futures contracts as a designated contract market, according to The Block.

Separately, Kalshi is preparing to seek CFTC approval for a WTI crude oil perpetual futures contract, according to a report cited by Cointelegraph. The proposed contract would trade around the clock five days a week and would carry no expiration date, Cointelegraph reported.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
