OpenAI and Anthropic CEOs Set to Brief UN Security Council on AI Risks, Alongside DeepSeek
Sam Altman and Dario Amodei, the CEOs of OpenAI and Anthropic, are expected to brief the UN Security Council as it examines AI risks and global security, according to Cointelegraph.
DeepSeek will also address the Security Council on AI risks, according to Decrypt, which noted that Amodei has spent a year calling China’s government the industry’s biggest threat — meaning the two will share a stage despite that rivalry.
The briefing comes as President Donald Trump addressed the UN General Assembly and pledged support for AI development, according to CNBC, despite calls from some quarters to slow the pace of advanced model development.
CNBC also reported that Altman and Amodei are expected to join the Security Council meeting on AI.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
