Coinbase Opens IPO Share Allocations to US Retail Customers, Starting With Oura
Coinbase has opened IPO share allocations to eligible US customers, with wearable device maker Oura as the first offering, according to The Block.
The move pushes Coinbase beyond secondary-market stock trading and into the primary market, following its earlier rollout of pre-IPO derivatives, The Block reported.
Eligible customers can request shares at the IPO offering price before trading begins, according to Decrypt and The Defiant.
Allocations are not guaranteed, however. The Defiant reported that how many shares customers actually receive depends on the supply made available by underwriters and the level of investor demand, while Decrypt similarly noted that requesting shares does not ensure an allocation.

What the market did
Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
