MoneyGram has launched its first stablecoin-backed Visa card, according to The Block, with the product developed alongside crypto card infrastructure firm Rain. The card is initially available in Colombia, The Block reported.

The launch marks MoneyGram’s move to bring digital dollars into everyday spending, according to CoinDesk. Cointelegraph reported that MoneyGram is following the lead of rival Western Union, which has already rolled out its own stablecoin-linked payment offerings, as both remittance companies expand their blockchain-based payment services.

The card allows users to spend stablecoin balances through the Visa network, tapping into existing card acceptance infrastructure rather than requiring merchants to accept crypto directly.

Each figure is this site’s own reading, with what it was measured against. A blank is a reading nobody took, not a zero. The before-the-headline window prints the rate a RANDOM hour clears the same bar, because a hit rate without its null is not a finding.
